This Privacy Policy explains how Y-Smart Chat ('we' or 'the service') collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you engage with our AI chat platform. Our commitment is to be completely transparent about how your data is handled.

Third-Party Services
Y-Smart Chat uses certain third-party services to provide you with the best experience:
AI Model Routing (OpenRouter):
When you use AI features, your inputs may be routed through OpenRouter to the selected model. We configure models to avoid training on user inputs where possible, and we show clear warnings if a model may retain data. OpenRouter privacy

We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how Y-Smart Chat is used and improve the service. This includes aggregated, non-personal usage statistics.
Hosting/CDN (Vercel):

Cookies and Tracking
We may use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure basic usage. You can control cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, some features may not work as expected.
Location
If you share location (for example, by granting browser permission or sending a location prompt), we use it to tailor answers about nearby places or time-sensitive info. It's not used for advertising or sold to anyone. You can disable location sharing at any time in your device or browser settings.

- Service providers: We share what's necessary with vendors who help run Y-Smart Chat (infrastructure, analytics, AI model providers).

Do Not Track
Do Not Track is a browser setting about cross-site tracking and ad-related cookies. Y-Smart Chat does not currently respond to these signals. This is separate from location permissions - you can let the app use location while still having Do Not Track enabled.
International Use
Y-Smart Chat's infrastructure is hosted on servers located in the United States, and your data may be processed in the U.S. or other global regions. By using the service, you understand your data may be transferred and subject to local laws where it's processed.
Children
Y-Smart Chat is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, please contact us and we'll take appropriate action.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by:
- Sending an email to your registered email address
- Displaying a prominent notice on the Y-Smart Chat platform
